Ruggy explaining how to run a token scan

Rug.Tools scans Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Chain tokens using public on-chain data and returns a plain-English report on holder distribution, liquidity, and lifecycle signals. Here's how to run a scan in under a minute.

  1. 1

Find the token you want to check

You need one of the following:
    • The mint address (Solana base58 mint or Ethereum/BNB 0xโ€ฆ contract)
    • A Pump.fun URL, e.g. pump.fun/<mint>
    • A Solscan URL, e.g. solscan.io/token/<mint>
    • A DexScreener URL, e.g. dexscreener.com/solana/<pair>
  2. 2

Paste it into the search box

On the homepage, paste the mint address or URL into the input and pressAnalyze. The scan usually takes a few seconds. Recent scans are cached to save time and RPC calls.
  3. 3

    Read the Overall Rating first

Every report opens with a single verdict:
    ๐ŸŸข
    Active
    Trading, liquid, live market activity.
    ๐ŸŸก
    Use Caution
Mixed signals โ€” read the details before acting.
    ๐ŸŸ
    Declining
    Volume and liquidity fading.
    โšซ
    Dead Project
No meaningful activity; lifecycle appears ended.
    ๐Ÿ”ด
    Rugged
Liquidity pulled or on-chain signals consistent with a rug.
  4. 4

    Dig into the details

    Below the verdict you'll find:
    • Key findings โ€” the most important facts in plain English.
    • Holder distribution โ€” largest holder, top 10, and total holder count.
    • Creator / Dev wallet โ€” verified balance across all token accounts.
    • Liquidity & market โ€” LP size, 24h volume, and pair age from DexScreener.
  5. 5

    Share or re-scan

Use Share on X to post the result with a preview card, or copy the direct link. Data refreshes automatically on repeat scans.
Reminder: the Overall Rating is an informational summary only. A "Looks Healthy" verdict does not mean a token is safe or will not rug in the future. Always do your own research. See our disclaimer.
